How to Fix The Witcher "Minimum System Requirements Not Met" Error
As you might know, I often create benchmark tests on various low-spec PCs, and when I tried to run The Witcher: Enhanced Edition on my Intel HD Graphics 2500, I got an error message saying, "Minimum System Requirements Not Met." I was sure my PC was sufficient for the game, so after reading through many forums, I found a solution!
Here’s a guide to fix this issue
- Go to where The Witcher is installed. Usually, it's in "C:\The Witcher\System\". Look for a file called Witcher.exe.
- Right-click on Witcher.exe and choose "Create Shortcut". This makes a shortcut to the game on your desktop.
- Change the Shortcut's Settings, right-click on the shortcut and pick "Properties".
- Go to the "Shortcut" tab, in the "Target" box, you'll see the path to Witcher.exe.
- Add this to the end:
-dontForceMinReqs
.
That's It!
Now, when you use the shortcut, you should be able to play The Witcher without any issues. And if you're curious about how the game runs on my low-end PC, then check out the following video.
The Witcher Below Minimum Requirements
I tested on a Dell Optiplex 7010 with a Core i5-3570 processor, 8GB of RAM, and HD Graphics 2500. The gameplay was recorded at 800x600 resolution with low graphics settings.
