All NFS Games (That I Played) on AMD A4-5000
If you're playing on an older PC or a lower-spec system, you’ve probably noticed that some games run fine while others struggle. I decided to test some classic Need for Speed (NFS) titles on my AMD A4-5000 processor, and here’s how they performed.
Need for Speed: Underground 2 (2004)
Settings: 854x480, high graphics | FPS: 30-40 | Playability: Playable |
The 2004 Underground 2 still performed decently on this setup. With a lower resolution, the graphics were acceptable, and the game ran smoothly, providing a solid experience.
Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005)
Settings: 854x480, low graphics | FPS: 50-60 | Playability: Playable |
The 2005 Most Wanted ran quite well, hitting 50-60 FPS with lower settings. It was completely playable, offering a smooth experience with no significant lag.
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010)
Settings: 800x600, low graphics | FPS: Below 10 | Playability: Not Playable |
Unfortunately, Hot Pursuit from 2010 didn’t perform well at all. Even on the lowest settings and a resolution of 800x600, the game barely managed to get 10 FPS, making it practically unplayable.
Need for Speed: Shift (2009)
Settings: 800x600, low graphics | FPS: 25-30 | Playability: Semi-playable |
Shift performed a bit better, with 25-30 FPS, but it still wasn’t entirely smooth. While it was technically playable, the experience was far from ideal.
5. Need for Speed: Shift 2: Unleashed (2011)
Settings: 800x600, low graphics | FPS: 10-15 | Playability: Not Playable |
Sadly, Shift 2 didn’t perform any better than Hot Pursuit, with FPS barely hitting 10-15, making it completely unplayable.
Need for Speed: The Run (2011)
Settings: 800x600, low graphics | FPS: 25-30 | Playability: Semi-playable |
Finally, The Run had a similar performance to Shift, with 25-30 FPS. While it wasn’t perfect, it was still semi-playable compared to the other more demanding titles.
Conclusion
The AMD A4-5000 processor isn’t really up to the task for running newer Need for Speed games, but the older ones like Underground 2 and Most Wanted are still playable at lower settings. If you had a more powerful system, you’d likely get a much smoother experience, but even on older hardware, you can still find ways to enjoy the classic NFS titles.
